Wine festival and Munich!

4:09 PM in Italia~ - Hello all! I am writing a quick message from the study center to let you know I'm still alive. This week I have been living in my new apartment and it has been pretty cool. Not all of my roommates have moved in yet but the ones who have have been really nice to me. It's going to be a fun year I'm excited.
So this week I have been busy meeting new people and trying to learn how to make pasta. Dave's a pretty good cook he has been showing me how to put meat, sauce, etc. in a pan and cook it up. We'll see I havent tried by myself yet.
Last night I went to Bardolino to visit Giulia! There was a big wine festival in her city and she hooked me up with a place to stay in her hotel. I met her dad and her sister for the first time and we also saw her mom and her friends. Her friends are sweet we had a lot of fun. When I get a chance I will throw up some pictures. Hil-arious.
Tomorrow at 5 AM I am off to Munich. I still don't have classes for next week. But they haven't even posted some of them yet. Silly Italians. I'm not worried though. OK I must go. Hopefully I'll check in Monday with some good pictures. Ciao!

Stevo,

The more I read about your adventures, the more I think I better get over there and chaperon you. I'm sure you could find a place for me in your apartment. I'll bring Danny to chaperon me. Later dude.

Stevo,

Enjoy OKTOBER FEST!!!!

Tigs try to wrap up division this weekend. Currently all even with the Twins with 3 to play. JD, Uncle Bob, and your bro Danny and I are off to see them play tonight -- hopefully we can see a victory!!!

How appropriate that you will be in Munich drinking probably from a few little brown jugs on the weekend Michigan tries to get theirs back!!!

Playoffs when you return from Munich.

Ciao or is it Ah Vetersein (sp?).

Hey Steve...
As you might have heard, the tigers LOST tonight. Mr. Curtis Granderson had a nice night with 2 homers in his first two at bats. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough leeway (5-4) for mr. todd jones (his name doesn't deserve to be capitalized!!). He let the tying run in, and then Jamie Walker who pitched the 10th AND 11h innings finally let 4 runs in. Guillen ended up with a two run single in the bottom of the ninth, but pudge hit a double play ball to end the game. Put this one down in the record books: Uncle Jim AGREED with me that it was Todd Jones's fault! There must be something wrong!
Have fun at the oktoberfest!
the todd jones hater (DANNY)

P.S. I got hit in the nose today and the doctor thinks i might have fractured it a little bit...Yeah, that's whats happening! Go state

Stevo,

Yes, Danny is right that Mr. Jones did not do his job last night.

However, neither did Grilli (one run in the 7th), Zumaya (one run in the 8th), Inge (error), Guillen (error), Walker (gave up 3 home runs and 4 total runs in the 11th), Pudge (hit into two double plays -- one to end the 9th after the Royals walked Guillen to load the bases with one out he hit a weak fly to center and they doubled off Clevlen trying to score at home, and in the 11th he ended the game (after the Tigs had scored 2 and still had guys on first and second), Leyland (for putting Walker back out in the 11th -- Walker pitches to 1-2 batters per outing all year, what makes Leyland think that on a cold night he can go 2 full innings?), Lemont (for sending Clevlen on Pudge's weak fly in the 9th), and yes Danbo too (for not staying positive when Jones entered the game -- all that negative energy really hurt Mr. Jones:)). So as it is usually the case in any loss, plenty of blame to go around.

Nonetheless, we had a great time!!! It was good to see Danbo and Uncle Bob. JD and Danny had fun together!!! Just don't ask Danny about the stain on the back of his pants -- once he saw that mr. jones was entering the game (that was truly the icing on the cake or was it mini donuts?)

Props to your boys CJ -- 2 homes runs and a great catch in center!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Uncle Bob!!!

Have a good one -- Ciao!!

P.S. Twins lost to Chisox 4-3 so the Tigs remain tied for first in the Central and their magic number is 2.

Stevo, Greetings from Michigan! Oktoberfest...hmm...that reminds me of a German drinking song that Grandpa used to like: "In Heaven there is no beer, that's why we drink it here. Cause when we're gone from here, all our friends will be drinking ALL the beer!" I'm sure you did your Grandpa proud this weekend and drank some beer! We all know that he's enjoying a cold one with LOTS of ice!!

We celebrated Uncle Bob's and Megan's birthdays tonight...a delicious dinner with Grams at Bayview. We talked of your European adventures while we sipped some red wine. Can't wait for you to give us a wine lesson!
