In giro..

0:11 CEST, 6:11 PM EST - HELLO WORLD! Finally I am able to put some more stuff up. It has been a really long, fun week this week. We have had a ton of schoolwork to do which is really not cool at all, but they have taken us to a bunch of cool places for art and history. Yesterday during the day they took us to a city nearby, Vicenza. It is between here and Verona and we were able to check out an old theatre and some cool buildings and gardens. I posted some pictures from there, I didn't put them all because I feel like they can get boring and some of the cooler places you weren't allowed to take pictures. Or you were but SENZA FLASH! So they didn't come out that great.
It was really nice because the lady that we are with she is our art-history teacher and this girl knows her stuff. I just wish she didn't have to speak in Italian because she explained some really cool stuff that I only understood some of. And I had questions to ask her but I didn't know how to ask so I didn't ask them at all or I ended up butchering them. Oh well. I asked her if once I get better at the language we could do it again and she said yes, or she said I could ask questions in English if I wanted but only when the other teachers weren't looking. haha. This teacher though knows her stuff, the other Italians touring the places we were (and they were mostly Italian tourists because these are like little known hotspots that we have been going to) they would listen to her because she knew a lot. It's really cool to have such a great guide.
Mmm.... what else. Well on Friday we played some vino-pong outside. We had fun the Italians probably thought we were crazy but we didn't care. Saturday we were on a trip allll day from 9-7 at night and we came back and grabbed some food and then we prepared for the big football game. Dave and I listened to it on the radio online. We listened to the whole thing and Melanie and Christina were in and out but they knew whenever something good happened. Which much to everyone's surprise was a lot of times. I was really excited the entire day for the game, I called my buddies at the game and everyone I was really excited.
I hope my Tiger's are doin just as good. I think I read online today that they are about 2 games up. I'm hoping they can pick it up but save enough for TIGER PLAYOFFS! Mmm, that's all I got for now. Check out the new pictures. Check ya later ;-)

Stevo,

Glad to see a new post!! I enjoyed your guest post but I think that Christina needs to continue to work on her poetry or was that rap? The movie was "unique" or some might say "interesting" to just spare your feelings -- but it really appeared to be just what your title of the blog indicated -- not much time so you tried to just put some filler on the blog. OK -- you have been doing GREAT keeping it up so we will cut you some slack -- this time!!! (ha, ha:).

Well, your boys in Blue put a good ole fashion b--- whippin on the domers. And so you Michigan fans don't think that I just like to blast your Wolverines -- I did predict that they would beat ND -- just ask my daughter Megan (she had to take a poll for her teacher at school). I am very aware that Michigan is capable of beating big name teams (eventhough ND does not look as impressive as the media and NBC (Notre Dame Broadcasting Company) makes them out to be). However, I am also aware the the Carr-led Wolverines are very capable of getting beat by inferior opponents and disappointing their masses. I will go out on a limb and (hopefully not to disappoint Kristy Lynn too badly) predict that 2 of the next 5 UM games will be "used Carr specials!!!" -- sorry, but I just try to analyze the trends -- I'm a math major what do you expect!

As for the Tiger's, as your bro Danny pointed out they were able to steady the ship somewhat against the O's from Baltimore. They pounded them Friday night 17-2 and could do no wrong (unless you consider not saving some of those runs for future games as wrong). They then turned around on Saturday night and behind a stellar pitching performance from Nate Robertson won 2-0. Unfortunately, they could not sweep the series as their brooms were kicked up too much dust at 3rd and in right field as Inge's and Maglio's errors in the 10th fueled a 4-run 10th and the Tiger's fell 12-8. Can't complain though as they took their first series in a while. They now go to Chicago for 3 games against the Whitesox. The Sox remain 5 games back as they struggled on the West Coast against the A's.

The Twins won 3 of 4 in Cleveland and are now only one game out. They play in Boston for 3 games beginning Tuesday night. The Twins have lost Liriano for the season -- but continue to scrap -- UNBELIEVABLE!!

Unfortunately, your boy CG needs to find his bat again as he is striking out as much as he is hitting the ball (156 K's and 141 hits). Also, the Tigers have to play some D!!! Both Inge and Guillen lead the league for their respective positions in errors. You know D when Championships!!!

Keep us updated on your Art, History and Cultural experiences -- trips, bike purchases, and Vino-pong. We really enjoy the posts!!!

All is well here!!! Give me some perspective of how the Ryder Cup is being perceived in Euro!! It would be interesting to hear what is being said in the media over there.

Take care and ciao!!

STEVO aka my second brother... I was so happy to hear from you Saturday, and then Big Blue whooped up on those Irish that try to call themselves Fightin' so it really turned out to be a good saturday. This blogspot thing was a great idea, and it really helps me keep tabs on you. Anyways, Tigs got a huge game tonight, its their last of the season against the ChiSox. They're two games ahead of the Twins, but wrap the season up with two series's (i think I just made up a word) against the Royals. Looks like we'll be seeing the Old English D in October.

Keep holdin' it down
